Pratt & Whitney Canada
A project that is complex and comes with uncertainties along with many engineering details may seem difficult to manage, but it’s exactly Ingenuity’s forte. That’s why when Pearce McCluskey Architects was tendering this project, they reached out to us to join them in the bidding process. There were challenges from the get-go, including renovating an old building that we haven’t seen in person to assess the nature and conditions, relying on our experience to make our best educated guesses before the project was awarded and to handle anything that may arise after securing the bid, and collaborating with new subcontractors and team members for the first time.
Of course, Ingenuity was up for all of the above. We immediately prioritized communication to form a bond with all parties involved to ensure that this project will be built through sharing our common goals, welcoming input on details, and taking ownership of what we were respectively responsible for.
Keeping the client abreast of all the progress during the course of construction was also key. We have a transparent, proactive approach in our project management process, which exceeded the demands of the client when it came to project documentation and attention to detail. Health and safety are top priorities for us as well, and we were able to demonstrate our commitment to the client.
Ultimately, this project won Canadian Interiors ‘Best of Canada’ Award for Interior Design, and we couldn’t be prouder of our team and trade partners of our joint success!
