We are looking for a full-time Site Superintendent to join our team. This role reports directly to the General Superintendent and offers a competitive salary plus full benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the construction process and is responsible for overall construction activities within the established design, budget, and scheduling guidelines. This includes planning and scheduling, organizing, directing, and controlling activities on the construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

In the position of Site Superintendent, we would ask you to do the following:

• Lead the application of Ingenuity’s health and safety policy. Investigate all health and safety incidents with the management team and implement corrective measures.
• Build long-term relationships with colleagues, consultants, and key stakeholders to ensure projects run smoothly. Handle all subcontractor interactions in a manner designed to build long-term relationships.
• Complete all activities with a high degree of accuracy and quality. Always ensure a high standard of workmanship.
• Lead the mobilization and set-up of the construction site, working closely with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
• Operate and communicate as one team, coordinate the daily activities of the construction trades, subcontractors, and suppliers, and use corrective actions to keep the project on time and on budget.
• Monitor job progress and costs while providing regular progress reporting to management.
• Resolve of all client concerns promptly and efficiently.
• Provide feedback to management on all design, workmanship, and subcontractor performance, and initiates suggestions for company-wide improvements.
• Ensure that design specifications are attained.
• Research and maintain a high degree of knowledge related to technology, construction practices, and new standards.

ABOUT YOU:

You are Perfect for this Role Because:

• You have a construction-related Degree or Diploma with at least 7 years of Industrial Construction experience in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) sector or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience.
• You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management, and contract software.
• You have a good working knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications, and building materials.
• You enjoy leading and directing the activity of site personnel, planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels and material quantities, and ensuring proper equipment and trades are available as required.
• You hold the appropriate credentials in health and safety training; e.g., Working at Heights, First Aid, Basics of Supervision.
