Retrofitting a heritage building is hard. But Ingenuity loves stepping up to the challenge!
Square Canada is a tech start-up and their vision for this space is to have a lot of open areas that are conducive to collaborations amongst their team. The blend of the exposed wood structure and brick with modern offices and workstations offered great synergy. The cozy and comfortable conversation nooks provided an inviting environment for secluded meetings.
The biggest change we made to existing conditions was the floor as it was in need of repair and we had to tackle the sagging areas. We also coordinated with the landlord to ensure that the main building entrance had carded access installed to mitigate security concerns given the openness of this space.
The Ingenuity team enjoyed working on our first heritage project with SGH Design Partners, with whom we’ve previously collaborated on several interior fit-out projects. Square Canada was delighted with the results!
